Ana Karin Kozjek Schwietert is a medical doctor and Family Medicine resident at the Community Health Center Ljubljana, with a special interest in sports medicine and clinical sports nutrition. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Chemistry from Grinnell College (USA), as well as IOC Diplomas in Sports Nutrition and Sports Medicine.
She has worked with Slovenian athletes—both professional and recreational—as a sports nutritionist and now as a team doctor. She is currently a member of the medical team for the Slovenian national cross-country skiing team. She is also a member of the Slovenian Society for Clinical Nutrition and a founding member of its Section for Clinical Sports Nutrition, contributing to the education of healthcare professionals, athletes, and their support teams.
As a former competitive swimmer and two-time Ironman triathlon finisher, she combines personal experience with professional expertise to address the medical and nutritional challenges of active individuals and support their health and performance.
